INTELLIGENCE OR INSTINCT?
Intelligence is about trying
Analyzing and controlling
Instinct is about freedom
Spontaneity and flowing
On which one should you rely
For a free and effective golf swing?
When you go to the golf course
Which one should you bring?
Intelligent trying
And determined controlling?
Or the freedom of allowing
And instinctive flowing?
You face a choice
Which one you’ll bring
Ask yourself which one will bring forth……
A reliable and effective swing?
YOUR INSTINCTIVE SWING
There is no right way to swing
There is only your way
No matter what the golf instruction industry
Might teach or say!
You are unique
In body and mind
You are a creative genius
You are one of a kind
Visualize and imagine
Explore and discover
Your right swing is unique
It’s like no other
Your right instinctive swing
Will be one of a kind
When you honor your instincts
In body and mind
INTELLECT AFFLICTION
You may have “Intellect Affliction”
If you believe that you must think for something to be so
And that may be the primary obstacle
To letting your golf swing flow!
If you feel that your mind must issue
Commands to control your swing
To your thinking brain you will desperately
End up having to cling
But, your brain doesn’t perform your swing
It’s your body’s response-ability
I think it simply comes down to trusting
In your body’s instinctive ability
You must let go of control
And open to possibility
You must learn to trust your bodily instincts
And your innate adaptability!
